☟ How do I connect this security camera system to WiFi for remote access?
Since your cameras have a Base Station/NVR, they were already connected/paired with the Base Station/NVR when you received them.
We simply need to connect the Base Station/NVR to the router using an Ethernet cable.
Plug the cameras into outlets to get power and connect the system to the app by scanning the QR-CODE on the Base Station/NVR using the APP.
Then you can view the live views.
If you want to connect it to a WiFi hotspot instead of the router's WLAN port, please see the attached image for instructions
on how to connect it to a WiFi network and where to find the QR-code to be scanned to add the device to the app.
☟ What should I do if the device or one of the cameras is offline?
Before troubleshooting, please connect the Base Station/NVR to a Monitor/LCD Screen/TV via an HDMI cable. This will allow us to access the settings described below.
If the whole device is offline:
The Ethernet cable between the Base Station/NVR and the router must be firmly plugged in for the network to be stable.
If you connected the Base Station/NVR to a WiFi hotspot, please make sure the Network state shows "Healthy Network"
If one of the cameras is offline or the live view is black.
Perhaps you can change a working power cable and adapter to power for the camera(you'll hear a turning-on sound when you turn it on) and make sure it's not too far away from the Base Station/NVR.
After that, check if you can see a live view of the camera after changeing a working power cable and turning it on.
If you are still unable to see the camera in the APP.
Please go to the camera settings, delete the camera channel,
and follow the directions in the user manual to reset the issue camera successfully(press the reset button for at least 5 SECONDS).
To reconnect the camera, click the icon "+" on the screen, please refer to the screenshot.
And then you will see the live view of the camera again.
☟ Does this wireless security camera support two-way talk?
Yes, it supports two-way talk via the APP.
☟ Does this home security camera work with 5.0 ghz WiFi or only 2.4 ghz WiFi?
Yes, it supports both 5.0 ghz and 2.4 ghz WiFi.
Since your camera has a Base Station/NVR and is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, it has nothing to do with the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz network frequency.
To guarantee that the system connects to the network effectively, the Ethernet cable between the Base Station/NVR and the router must be securely plugged in before the network can be stable.
If you don't want to use a network cable to connect your device to the Internet, but want to connect your device to a WiFi hotspot, don't worry, it supports both as well.
☟ Do you have to be connected to the internet to record?
Yes, it can work without the internet.
However, if you do not connect it to a network, you will be unable to add it to your phone for remote wireless access.
Since your cameras have a Base Station/NVR, they were already connected/paired with the Base Station/NVR when you received them.
So, after you plug the cameras and Base Station/NVR into outlets to get power, then you can view the live views.
☟ What is the maximum number of cameras that the Base Station/NVR can support?
The maximum number of cameras that the Base Station/NVR can support is 16.
Should you wish to add an additional camera to your current suite, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can recommend a compatible camera model.
We advise against purchasing cameras from other suppliers, as this may result in compatibility issues.
☟ Does it record 24/7?
Yes, it can, you only need to set the "Recording Mode" to "Keep recording"
☟ What is the connection distance between the camera and the Base Station/NVR?
Under ideal conditions, the camera can be positioned within 65-100 feet of the Base Station/NVR;
however, the actual range varies based on factors such as wall thickness, indoor obstructions, and Base Station/NVR location.
If the camera and Base Station/NVR are in an open outdoor location with no obstructions, the connection distance can be up to 330 feet.
☟ Can these be connected to a tv or another Base Station/NVR?
One camera can be connected to a single Base Station/NVR, but the Base Station/NVR can be connected to a Screen Monitor or a TV with an HDMI port.
To connect it to a TV device, you need to set the HDMI input on the TV:
1. Use the TV remote to locate the "Input Source" or "Input Select" button (sometimes labeled as "Source" or "Input").
2. Press the input select button to bring up a source menu, then choose the HDMI port connected to the security camera (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
☟ How do you delete Alarm pictures from notifications on the Cloudeye 365?
The alarm messages in the event can not be deleted. These thumbnails are retained in the app's cache data, and the thumbnails in events will be automatically cleared after three days.
If you want to delete specific videos. You can format the memory card in the APP, but this will delete all the videos saved in the memory card.
Or you can read the memory card on the computer by a card reader to choose the single videos you want to delete.
